LUNA, a tragicomedy, my one-woman show with original songs by Frank Wallace, premiered in 2012 at the Portsmouth Fringe Festival. I am currently re-working it with masks. This video shows me working with the masks in rehearsal. In the background I sing Wallace's setting of Ovejita, the "mad song" of the grandmother in Federico García Lorca's play La Casa de Bernarda Alba. LUNA is about two artists, myself and my mother––the role tragedy has played in our lives, and in our art.. Set at the end of Ma's long life, ultimately it's about survival.
