A great postcard doesn't just say, 'Wish you were here', it tells a story about where you are, what you're doing and what is special or interesting to you. ABC Open Hunter producer Anthony Scully has created a Video Postcard from the Fernleigh Track, a shared pedestrian and cycleway linking the cities of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. Scully rides his skateboard on a downhill a leg of the track between Kahibah and Adamstown, and in it he explains to his friend Steve what's good about the run, and why he calls this leg the 'Kahibah chairlift'. A video postcard captures the essence of a traditional postcard but transforms it for the digital age and and allows you to share your story with more people. It can also be a simple way to connect with people around the country. Find out how to create your own Video Postcard at the ABC Open website abc.net.au/open and follow the links to the Video Postcards project.
