The Video 'Water Journey' which I produced in 2009, was my first experiment. I was working on the Idea or concept of 'Kinetic Painting'. The rhythmic movement is based on Video footage produced in nature and is contrasted with the intensity of color, produced with the help of contemporary video editing software. This was my first foray into that medium, transforming 'reality' into artificiality. Artificiality, which seduces our senses in many different ways and leading them astray. Inspired by surreal mind games to set free vivid imaginations? Does it enrich our world in a meaningful way? or is it just a silly game?
This film was selected and shown in 2009 at the 'All shorts' Film Festival in Takaka
