This interview reel was recorded on the gorgeous and scenic North Sea Cycle Route during the summer of 2012. A passion for cycle touring can unite people from several different countries. Here are sixteen short interviews where cyclists answer in their own language (and some english) why we ride long distances.

The North Sea Cycle Route has been developed by an international partnership with 50% funding from the European Commission’s Interreg IIC North Sea Programme. The route was further developed under the Interreg IIIB North Sea Programme. Co-funding has been provided by approximately 70 counties in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Scotland and England. Rogaland County Council in Norway has been the Lead Partner. The North Sea Cycle Route is 6200 kilometers long, based on existing national, regional and local cycle routes, utilizing existing signing. The route was officially opened in May-June 2001. NSCR has received the Guinness world record as the longest signed bicycle route in the world.
