Witness: Tate Modern is a type of videographic chinese whispers. An audience is asked to watch a filmed sequence of choreography carefully- carefully because they will have to re-create it from memory. This sequence is then re-enacted by the audience and filmed. Some things may stay the same, some things might be lost or even added. A new audience is then invited to watch this e-enactment on film and...

This version is a development in They Are Here's working process. The first four participants were invited to design the starting sequence from their own observations of real-life moments in the turbine hall. By combining re-enactments of these gestures, they created an unusual first sequence in which multiple times and lives co-exist.
