Every summer solstice on June 21st, the longest day of the year, thousands of musicians fill hundreds of spaces across New York's five boroughs—sidewalks, parks, community gardens, and squares—to celebrate with free concerts in the Make Music New York Festival. In the summer of 2009, Philadelphia-raised musician Avi Wisnia fulfilled a childhood dream in Union Square and conducted the first ever megaphonica, a chorus of megaphone players, in what became one of the festivals most talked about show of the day!
