Thankfully, the snow held off, everyone got there and wow - the talent on display in the Burlington hotel was simply breathtaking. Stylists and trainees travelled the length and breadth of the country to show their peers just what they could do and my goodness were we all impressed. Our brilliant judges had such a hard job deciding on the winners and the audience was on tenterhooks as MCs Liam Kennedy and Gary Kavanagh took to the stage with the magic envelopes hand! Style Club South William Street had a great afternoon with winners in three out of four categories; Danielle Whelan won Trainee of the Year with her model Lauren Taylor, Edita Andanova won Gent’s Full Fashion with her model Derk Dekorver and Eilish Maloney won the Ladies Full Fashion Award with her model Laura Rooney. Ruth Roberston from Peter Mark St Stephen’s Green won the Creative Fantasy Award with her model Laura Harris.
Our judges, Sean Dawson from Hobs salons UK, Nathan Walker from Trevor Sorbie, Holly O’Keeffe from the Peter Mark College, Michael Doyle, Creative Director Peter Mark, Maeve O’Healy Harte of Irish Hairdresser Magazine, Bairbre Power of the Irish Independent along with Michael Corcoran and Susie Dowling from the Peter Mark College all spoke about their excitement around the incredibly high standard of hairdressing on display. Technical ability and creativity were abundantly obvious in every category of the competition. We here in Peter Mark towers couldn’t be prouder and want to thank everyone for making this year one of the best yet.
