    Great work Jean,
She has a great presence /face for film..
  • Thank you Peter. It wasn't much easy to act for her since we didn't had much time, but since she's a pro, she did it quite well ;)

What lenses did you use on these? Wonderful!!

    Thanks -
  • Thank you. I mainly shot with fix focals, I guess my usual Canon 35mm f2, 50mm f1.4, 85mm f1.8 and Hartblei SuperRotator 80mm f2.8

Wow, this is absolutely beautiful! So you used 8mm and 16mm film grain over the 5d footage to achieve that look? If you don't mind me asking, what do the curves look like to achieve this look? This is very inspirational for me. Thank you Jean
  • Thanks Russell. Yes, absolutely for the 8 and 16mm footage. AS for the curves, it is pointless to show them since they all depend of your original footage.

I've been a photographer for years so this kind of setting is now easier for me. If you'd like to learn, go to my website and see the tutorial "Train your eye" simplemoment.com/tutorials/

Hello Jean-Se, thank you for the great tutorials, I just have one more question, where can I find the 8mm 16mm film grain footage?
  • I bought mine on istockphoto, you can find them elsewhere but they're more expensive.

Loved that film look effect at the start. If you don't mind me asking, which item number of stock did you buy from Istockphoto?
    Thank!
