Richard Bergh's Avslutad seans / After the pose (1884), one of the paintings of the "Nordic Art" exhibition at the Groninger Museum in Groningen (the Netherlands) serves, along with other paintings, as a source of inspiration for the dance theatre performance "The Tethering Knot", the third of 4 multimedial performances at the Groninger Museum during the Groninger Museum "Live" Festival (groningermuseum.nl/groninger-museum-live-festival) in the "Nordic Reveries" series (nordicreveries.tumblr.com) created by Agalya Koika (artistic director/choreographer) in collaboration with Bouke Mekel (visual artist) and NOORDROON (sound), and specially for "The Tethering Knot", a live concert performance by Lotte Veldman (vocals) and Ruggiero Vitalis (violin).
