RED ONE - IN THE MOUNTAINS
Took the Red One out for an afternoon for about 3 hours with my friend Omar Saad. This is the actual Red One that they used for lots of the SNL digital shorts and they took it to shoot parts of Man vs. Wild as well!
We used a Nikon 50mm 1.4 lens.
All the slo-mo shots are 2K at 120fps, the non slo-mo stuff is Raw 4K. At one point I do a digital zoom in on a wicker chair so you can see the real resolution and it's AMAZING!
I love this camera!
Thanks for coming Michael Baca, Jacob Dornbos, and Sophie Nuber!

Once everything was converted from R3D to AppleProRes which only took about 6 hours. I edited everything in Final Cut Pro at 2k. then exported the final edit into a quicktime movie (in the native settings of the sequence), after that I exported it (from quicktime) to H.264 at 720HD and it looks great!
I like the music and tks for explaining how you converted everything ect...some of it is Chinese to me
but im learning all the time :-)
It's a shame you don't live in Philly area.
I'll stay in touch
Thanks a bunch!
