Interstices (2009) is a two-channel video that samples simple melodies played on a toy piano then randomly picks and juxtaposes fragments of the performance. The piece uses an algorithm that employs randomness, probability and synchronization to create musical phrases that are outside of traditional conventions. The sounds between the notes are fused with the played notes in an unpredictable way.
