It Donned On Me's official entry into the 2009 San Jose 48 Hour Film Project.

Winner of the "Best Editing" award in the competition.

Produced entirely between 7pm, August 14th and 7pm August 16th.

Criteria:
Genre: Surprise Ending
Prop: Piece from a board game
Line of Dialogue: "Tell me again why this matters?"
Character: Zack or Zelda Alexander, Exterminator

Shot on the Canon 5DmkII with the 24-105mm f/4 IS L. Audio recorded dual-system on a Zoom H4n and synced in Final Cut Pro using pluraleyes. Primarily existing lighting with a Comer CM-LBPS1800 for fill, mostly shot at ISO 1250-1600. We ran out of time to color correct so this is 98% footage straight from the camera.

Sweet. I love it. Coulrophobia is a topic that needs a lot more exploration. This is a great step forward.

    Good Going.

May I ask. How do you manage White Balance over a range of locations, for 5D. What is your approach to WB setting ? Thank you.
  • It Donned On Me plus 3 months ago
I tend to just use the presets (daylight, tungsten, shade, etc) as appropriate for the conditions.

I really appreciate your advise. Thanks. Ron.

did you record the voices in post-production?
  • It Donned On Me plus 3 months ago
No, they were recorded live into a Zoom H4n & synced in post via Pluraleyes. For the more stationary stuff we used a wired countryman B6 lav, moving stuff used a Sennheiser G2 Evolution wireless system.
