The production company Qvisten Animation has made a fine commercial promoting a treasure from the south of Norway, namely Sørlandschips. Here is the message they are communicating: The unusual good usual chips are a world sensation from the manufacturer Sørlandschips. Usual chips from Sørlandschips are in fact an unusual good usual chips based on a brand new recipe. Confused? Well, so am I, and so are the men and women at the factory in white overcoats. Particularly Ingolf, the one who talks about philosophy and the meaning of life. The newcomer among the chips-family is celebrated with trumpets, fanfares and a red ribbon. The oh so nerdy employees with lovely southern dialect, take on their assignment with great sincerity. It is obviously a big happening and there is no doubt in my mind that the chips are tasteful. It sounds incredible tempting, too. Particularly on a Sunday. Produced by Irene Sødahl Didrichson and post-produced by Pia Nyhus. From Hocus Focus: Ove Kenneth Nilsen (editor), Bengt Ove Sannes (online and colour grading) and Preben Grieg-Halvorsen (sound design). If you want to do some more in-depth research on the logic of the unusual usual potato chips, check out the film or the website at sorlandschips.no
