After a publicized struggle, that gained a lot of public support the Israeli government decided to cancel the “Gedera-Hadera” policy, and to postpone the expulsion of the immigrants’ children for three months.
Still, the public struggle hasn’t finished.
The statue of about 17,000 refugees that are living in Israel hasn’t been settled.
Most of them cannot make a living because they don’t have work permits.
And on November 1st is set to begin the expulsion of the immigrants’ children that were born here, and know Israel as their only country.
