Please support our INDIEGOGO campaign to stage a full production at Teatro Paraguas in spring 2014
"When The Stars Trembled in Río Puerco" is an oral history play, adapted and directed by Shebana Coelho.
The play is adapted from a book of oral histories, "Recuerdos de Los Viejitos, Tales of the Rio Puerco Valley," collected by Nasario Garcia, the renowned oral historian. It features memories and vignettes from life in four towns (now ghost towns) south of Cuba. New Mexico. We had a staged reading in Dixon, NM in August 2013 and hope to have a full production at Teatro Paraguas in Santa Fe, NM in Spring 2014. The play is part of a multimedia oral history project called Recuerdo Vivos New Mexico, Living Memories New Mexico. For more info visit: recuerdosvivosnewmexico.com
