NEW CASTLE, Pa.-- The new and improved emergency room at Jameson Hospital starts taking patients on Monday, March 25. The hospital's old ER was designed to handle 28,000 visits each year. The new ER can manage as many as 40,000. The expansion of the ER with state of the art technology comes with the construction of a new surgical wing as well. The price tag for the updates and expansion was $22-million dollars.
