Erlin Geffrard and I woke up today and found out that a good friend and mentor of ours, Carlos Villa, had just passed away. We were behind schedule on an art show currated by a Japanese organization to stop shark finning around the world and decided we needed to create some type of performance for this show. Our friend Sweet Tooth Nelson was around and grabbed a video camera and we ended up shooting this video of us making our "Shark Fin Soup" painting. This painting is dedicated to Carlos Villa and his memory and in memory of all sharks killed for their fins worldwide every year
