Nice film/edit.
How do you like your 500d?
Is it hard to use compared to the HG21?
I have just switched to FCP so i am in early days of learning.

I really like the 500D, its a great camera. It takes great photographs (14megapixels) and the HD video quality is great. Also, the DOF you can get with it is awesome. It does have its setbacks, there is no way to attach an external mic and it is hard to keep it steady while shooting handheld. It also takes a while to learn how to use it because the manual features are very different than with a conventional video camera. As for editing with FCP, you have to convert the footage to a codec that FCP likes (the camera captures footage to H.264). I converted my footage to ProRes and it worked/looked great. With that said, and for the price, I would definitely recommend it if you want both great looking video and photographs all in one. Thanks for the comment!
