once in a while we need warnings like this, to remind us how fragile we are, to motivate appropriate action, make us respond and react, and help us get better at caring for the future we unfold.

thus the world has not ended yet, and hopefully will not, as long as we dare to learn from our mistakes of the past.

    Ain't Half Hot Mum:

This film is a sizzler. It's not a 'feel-good' film in the conventional sense. In fact if you find yourself feeling good at the end, it probably means you fell asleep!

But you won't fall asleep. The characters and the footage is too gripping for that. And you won't feel bad either. If you are like me you will feel profoundly relieved - that this rather 'taboo' topic has been given a good airing. And feel slightly more hopeful, that humanity still has time to do something - and vow to make sure that the (2055) ending of this movie is fiction, (just as the rest of it is documentary.)

You will not be sorry to have been in the early vanguard of people seeing this. And waking up.

This was the role Pete Postlethwaite was born to play.

    Overall rating? "Masterpiece"

@bclomptwihm - what an astonishingly well-put argument with really quite unnecessary levels of evidence and logic... and you haven't even had to watch the film in order to come to this conclusion! Well done, sir.

Vital film; everyone ought to see it.

If you think it's talking rubbish, watch it first and then try to argue away the evidence and attitudes.

It's been immensely popular in UK; hopefully, the launch in USA and the rest of the world will bring it to the attention of all those others, many of whom are beginning to take suitable action anyway or looking for what to do.

    More power to ya!

It was never bullshit. Why is it a bad thing to want to take care of this planet? It'll wipe us out if we don't. It is not going anywhere, but we will if we don't change the way we do things.
