Silver Medallion - Gravity
Gravity was shot in HD with a Canon 5D MKII in and around downtown Phoenix. Shots were using available light between ISO 1200 to 5000 and features the memorable spaces that dot the Phoenician landscape, including the months’ old light rail system, Civic Space Park, Phoenix Art Museum and the Clarendon Hotel.
The project is the second collaboration for the band and photographer after shooting their album cover. For this project, the lyrics and visuals work in chorus, using the metaphor of gravity to illustrate the isolation, anonymity and stresses of modern city living.

I shot this with the 45 TS and did the rooftop shot with the 85 1.8 shot ever thing around ISO 5000 then did post in Premiere CS4 with dynamic links to AE for noise reduction and did a double pass on the render which took the render time from two hours to 10.
I've since moved my workflow to FCP Studio 3 and am loving it so far. I hope that my next pieces are up to par with Gravity.
