Tundra Swans like to forage in open fields for leftover grains and other crops. For that they leave the immediate Thedford Bog where they rest to search for food further afield. Plans to surround the bog with hundreds of towering wind turbines with their 90-meter in diameter blade rotations would appear to represent a grave threat to the safety of the birds, and may mean their traditional migration habitat will be destroyed.
