A compilation of P.O.V (Point Of View) footage from the 2008/09 winter season. Filmed throughout Utah. My brother and I took the 5DMKII through some deep snow, sometimes too deep. We managed to make it through the year without breaking the camera, but most importantly the footage turned out good. Enjoy the HD skiing and snowboarding perspective as seen through us, and a 15 mm fisheye.

Ah another great P.O.V vid of you.
The music, shots, skiing, (and some boarding :P) all blend so well together. I just really enjoy watching this vid.

Keep up the good work man.

hey does the mk11 autofocus in hd video mode?
  • Ian Provo plus 3 months ago
It does have an auto focus mode. I've never used it though. For the skiing stuff, I manually focus than gaff tape the focus ring. thanks for checking it out!

  • Ian Provo plus 1 month ago

Love this vid boyz. The crispness from that cam is the best Ive seen. Makes me rethink my current setup. Oh and slashing all that pow helps too.

Look forward to the 09/10 provo season!

    hi ian,
great work and pictures, when i saw your edit, i'd really wanted to go riding.
I used to film rides in france and austria with a Dv, all taped to protect it from snow, and its not very handly.
You said you used to use a nylon bag to protect your 5d,
but how do you manage to let the lens opened?
Do you let a hole in the nylon bag, and tape it all around the lens?

however, thanks for the trip !
