"A Day at the Races"
This is a film about the LIMBIC project, or 'learning to improve the management of back pain in the community'. The LIMBIC project was created to develop and evaluate an inter-professional approach to linking practice-based learning with the principles and methods of healthcare improvement.
Nine practices across Dorset and Wiltshire (UK) participated in the project. Eight workshops offered learning tailored to the needs of practices and provided an opportunity to learn from each other.
These projects enabled the practices and patient groups to identify better ways of working and influencing change in dealing with the back pain.
This culminated at the Salisbury Racetrack in July with the participants creating a theatrical improvisation. Patients and practitioners extemporised the stories of their journeys within the LIMBIC project.
This film is the story of that day at the races.
