You have three important components to your successful business.
1) Vision - Where you want your company to be and what you want it to become
2) Strategy - Your framework of core beliefs that everything is measured against.
3) Tactics - Methods and tools to allow you to achieve the objectives determined by your vision and strategy.
Your tactics may change on a regular basis but your vision and strategy only changes in rare instances.
Your vision will evolve as your company grows and expands beyond your initial thoughts.
Your strategy changes very very rarely. By having well defined core beliefs (strategy framework) every person working for your company has an easier time making decisions.
The simple question of "Does this match up with our strategy?" Yes. Implement it. No.. kill it.
Makes life so much easier.
