Aug 29, 2009: Soldiers hanging out after the parade
Sculpture is by Patrick Dougherty and it's called Creature Comforts. Located in front of Armstrong Hall, at the intersection of Cache La Poudre & Cascade on the Colorado College campus.
From October 27 to November 14, 2008, internationally renowned sculptor Patrick Dougherty created a site-specific, temporary sculpture on the Colorado College campus. The sculpture will remain for two years.
Comprised of hundreds of woven tree saplings and twigs, Dougherty’s unique, site-specific sculptures integrate natural and man-made environments. Simultaneously intricate and effortless, the sculptures seem almost to have been made through a force of nature, swirled together by prairie winds, or constructed by birds
