This 4 light setup is to show lighting in medium and tight shots. Key light, fill light, background light (a slash of light hitting the wall), and hair light to give the person separation from the background. Ideally in a bigger room I like to throw the background soft but we only had about 6 feet between camera and subject and maybe 3 feet behind them.
