With extensive research into the Isabelle Hallin story, Peter Manoogian-Saugus Town Meeting Member, has brought to life the dramatic story of Ms. Hallin and the sensational uproar it created in the Saugus community and beyond (nationally). Falsely accused of "Sinful behavior" during a Theatre rehearsal at her home, (drinking and smoking), she was fired from her job as a school teacher in Saugus. Ending up in NYC after doing some radio work there, she was found, lifeless, in her apartment. A tragic end to a vibrant young woman.
On March 25, 2013, a plaque was unveiled at the Saugus Town Hall, at the very Town Hall where she was vilified so many years ago. The plaque reads: , "May our actions within this Town Hall lead to greater wisdom and justice rather than sorrow and regret..."
