"Untitled" - Obstructionist #1
The original idea was to choose 1 script and have multiple directors shoot their own versions. The only rule was to retain all the words from the original script.
This was done as part of the first Obstructionist Challenge. I reworked and rearranged the words from Adam Deeves' script to make something similar but new. I haven't gone through it too closely, but think I used every word in the script. You'll notice we also had some liberal use of repetition.
Shot in the Cedarburg South Africa, Kolkmanskop Namibia, Drotsky's Cabin in Botswana, and on the Okavanga Delta in Botswana.
Apologies for the bad sound. Lost half of the footage and much of the sound when my HV20 was stolen in Namibia. All footage captured on a Panasonic AGDVX100 since the angles with the HV20 were lost. too bad... it would have turned out better with the lost angles and lost sound. Kind of surprised it's even sort of coherent. Oh well. Uploaded as HD even though it is not. Hoping it will allow for better resolution on vimeo.
Thanks to Madel, the Okavanga Poler, and Augustino, Pablo's doppleganger, for being there in the real world doc footage so we could add it to the mix during the edit. Loved to see more people take a crack at either this script or future Obstructionist projects.

Really, this was well done.
Personally. I'm going to try really hard to actually make something for this, being that I've been bothering everyone else about it - it's only fair. Lack of camera is my biggest obstacle.
