Another quest:which camera did u use to shoot?
  • Hi Steve. The DVD set should play in the EU as well as North America. The shutter speed seems to make very little difference with jets. However, it can create very cool effects with prop planes. On a couple of the shots I set it at 2000 and it makes the props appear as if they are slowly moving, but does not really effect the other parts of the frame. Without clouds it is very difficult to get a sense of speed at all.

A friend of mine owns a Mig-17, we have spent alot of hours filming it. Without a reference point, you cannot tell the difference in 200 v. 600 mph. The same applies to shutter speeds against a blue sky.

We shoot everything with a Sony HDCam 900 series broadcast camera, using a variety of broadcast Canon HD glass.
