Test shots for a performance considering moments of absurdity in everyday life, within an institutionalised setting. Plays with ideas of harnessing, or 'processing' nature, while also attempting to get the audience to glean the inherent beauty in certain things.
The performer, dressed as a blue-collar worker, sits down to work, tying up hair and checking the time before opening a brown envelope from a pile on the table. Reading the instruction 'FIX 32790' or similar, the performer takes and unwraps an near spherical object from a plastic shopping bag. The broccoli is then chopped of its florets, and dealt with with great care to the grain of the vegetable. It is whittled down to a thin spire, after which the performer stands and takes the object to a nearby, but out of sight, glass container. The spire replaces a previously made spire, and the performer walks away.
