A year at the Australian National Academy of Music is like no other. The only institute of it's kind in Australia, and one of few in the world, ANAM's 2013 cohort consists of 71 students from across Australia. Year One, Week One, is a glimpse in to Reading Week, in which new and returning ANAM students come together for a week of chamber music, orchestral rehearsals, lectures and most importantly, an introduction to what their year will entail.

The eminent British conductor, James Judd, makes his ANAM debut in a program that celebrated the early works of three twentieth century masters, Britten, Shostakovich and Lutoslawski.
