I don't normally write too much about the stuff I make, but I'm interested in describing why this series exists. Beginning with "Nothing" I then developed "Cylinder" and "Church" using the same exact animation. I'm in the process of doing some hyper minimalist work, and hyper maximalist work. These particular animations are part of the minimalist series.
Minimalism has always been the ethos of my design style, and in these (as well as another photo series) are the most extreme cases for me. This series was, and will continue to be as I iterate on it, the most difficult because of how hard it is to restrain yourself. It's tougher than going blue sky. I didn't use any 3d, and any weird dimensionality or shape changing is mostly based on the illusion of simplicity. I wanted to know how much I could do, by doing as little as possible.
