National Competition for Girls and Young Women
Launch 23rd April; closing date for entries 31st July 2013
If you are between 13 years and 30 years, NCW wants to know about your concerns!
Write, using the heading below, on the issue you feel most passionate about!
‘If you could influence Government to take action on one issue to improve the lives of women and girls, what would it be?’
Juliet Lyon is one of the judges in the inaugural National Council of Women 'Giving Young Women and Girls a Voice' competition, 2013. She tells us why she was keen to be on the judging panel and work with the National Council of Women and what she is looking for.
Juliet is Director of The Prison Reform Trust which campaigns that only the most violent offenders are sent to prison and the rest are rehabilitated by other means.

She especially wants to give voice to the 10,000 women sent to prison each year and to those who are on the edges of society and disenfranchised by the situation they find themselves in.
