This was a demo piece that I collaborated on with the great MK12 to produce for Sprite Remix in mid-2002.
The agency concept was to show similar but varied club/urban scenes taking place all over the world, all having their thirsts-quenched by the delicious taste of Sprite Remix. The initial spot intended as a :15 demo piece, however they decided to bookend the club-scene at the end for continuity.
I used a lot of recordings of random radio static and loose cable noise to generate the sound design elements. I also incorporated a lot of mechanical turntable fx to be used as slow-downs and edit points at key transitions in the picture.
I always loved this project but once they decided to go another direction I used the various sound design elements to create a more complete composition which eventually came to be EVAC - 'Edit'
'Edit' was released on CD on the Colonized 1.0 compilation by Colony Productions UK in 2007.
