Can you handle awkward silence? What happens when it seems as though nothing is happening? Do you hyper-realize, do you zone out, do you find yourself on a different train of thought?
This video is inspired by John Baldessari's "I will not make any more boring art".
As an artist we test the role of the viewer as well as ourselves and with this work, I learned how long I could hold my breath, the place where I fixated my eyes, how long it takes until I need to blink, concentration, dealing with issues of silence.
Something is always happening, even in a minimalist piece. We just have to look more in-depth, watch something a few times and put ourselves in that situation.
