On Thursday April 18th, London designer Alexandra Groover and illustrator/artist Roisin Dunne unveil their first collaborative exhibit at DreamBagsJaguarShoes in Shoreditch. Taking inspiration from Groover's RESURRECTION AW13 collection and film as well as Dunne's mysterious occult imaginings, the long time friends and former Central St Martins classmates have taken over the bar in its entirety, transforming it into a dream-like, curtain-swathed seance room. Completely consumed by Dunne's beautifully drawn sigil wallpaper patterns, the walls provide the perfect backdrop for her series of drawings of detailed portraits of Groover wearing "resurrected" key pieces from past Alexandra Groover collections. Emerging from the ceiling are what appears to be several black apparitions, which upon closer inspection are in fact several of Groover's dresses draped elegantly from the ceiling by their skirt hems.

On the ground floor, table tops metamorphose into custom designed Ouija boards, adorned with planchette-shaped candle holders and large bouquets of white lilies that sip the black ink from their vases. As the stereo plays a specially curated playlist by RESURRECTION soundtrack musician Dave.i.d, guests are invited to the bar to drink "Vital Fluid," a revitalising concoction created by the JaguarShoes Collective, which is part of the signature cocktail list that has been created for exhibition. In the basement, guests can watch Groover's short film cycle of BIRTH, LIFE, DEATH, AFTERLIFE, and RESURRECTION in its entirety while they are waiting to have their auras photographed.

Additionally, all pieces will be available to purchase, as well as a selection of specially designed postcard books and other objects made in celebration of the exhibition, including planchette shaped candle holders and Ouija board table tops with matching placemats.
