Here's the original cut of the opener for the Ashes in 2006 that I produced with my good friend Matt Timson for Channel Nines Wide World of Sports. This was shot using motion control at the MCG in Melbourne, since many of the props used from the Cricket Museum could not be taken off site. We were allowed incredible access to some very rare items including the original clock from the Long Room used in the early part of the sequence. The vintage projector which worked beautifully was supplied by Lemac and the late great John Bowring ACS lit and was DOP.

Matt did the final edit whilst I was involved in CG picture frames, tracking of archive material into the shots, including the surprisingly tricky newspaper shot and the endframe design and animation. Compositing chores in After Effects were shared between the two of us.
