A cycle track is a physically separated bike lane common in many european countries. In this case the parked cars and a buffered bike lane protect cyclists from traffic.

    This is FANTASTIC! Just one more thing that makes Portland stand out as the best city in the nation! "Thank you" to everyone who was a part of making this happen. Hopefully this will extend to more parts of the city. A special "thank you" to Mayor Sam Adams for all you do for the city. You are the BEST mayor any city could ask for!

    We need to INCLUDE cycling in our culture. NOT separate it. Wim Wiewel's comment that he is alive today because of the paths is completely outlandish. We DO NOT need to be 'protected'. Education of motorists and cyclists is needed. Try starting here: vehicularcyclist.com/
