Lambeth Palace Library, founded in 1610, is the historic library and record office of the Archbishops of Canterbury and the principal repository of the documentary history of the Church of England. This lecture will outline the foundation of the library and its collections, with a particular focus on the early books from Sion College Library (which came to Lambeth in the mid-1990s).
