The Downtown Project, backed by Tony Hsieh, was examined by the newly inaugurated Fremont East Studios (Las Vegas) and the team from Flytcam Motion Pictures (Albuquerque) during the National Association of Broadcasters Convention in April 2013.
Shots of the new Fremont East District are showcased as well as some of the construction areas that make up The Downtown Project. The Ogden is also showcased in its iconic grandeur as the anchor point for great things to come to this fast-growing and hip neighborhood.
The footage was shot on a Sony FS-100 with a Sony 18-200mm lens and taken during the early morning hours. The platform/aircraft used is a highly-modified Cinestar-8 from Freefly Systems--equipped with a modified Freefly 3-Axis Gyro-Stabilized Gimbal (essentially, the beta MōVi a Gyro-Stabilized Gimbal) provided and operated by Flytcam Motion Pictures. This platform enabled the team to get all shots in multiple locations accomplished in under 2 hours.
