About the course

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) test the aptitude of the applicant to study of Architecture. This test is conducted to find out the drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability, that have been acquired over a long period of time, and that are related to study of Architecture. NATA scores are used by admissions authorities of different Government, Govt. Aided & unaided schools / colleges of Architecture, to provide common measures for comparing the qualifications of applicants, for admission in addition to their scholastic performance
In 10+2 or equivalent examination.

Any person having passed class X or equivalent examination can appear for NATA, however, candidates having 50% marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination with mathematics as one of the subject, only are eligible for admission to B. Arch. Course.
NATA is offered over the major part of the admission season at designated Test Centers located at colleges / schools of architecture in India. Updated list of Test centers is available at the website nata.in .
This test can be taken any number of times in a year. This means if a student gets less score he can retake the test to improve his score by re-registering for the NATA by paying fees again. However NOT the best score, but the average of the scores is taken into consideration. For example a student scores 96/200 marks in the first attempt and 100/200 marks in the second attempt his overall score is (96+100) /2 = 98 marks.
