A silly detective yarn that mixes live-action and motion graphics. This short was originally written by Reuben Goldman and Robert Cividanes of R & R's Cavalcade of Whimsy for inclusion in a live sketch comedy show. Reuben and Rob later thought its "film noir" style was better suited for film. We shot the filmed segments fairly quickly. During the editing process, the segues that joined the live action segments began to grow and take on a life of their own. The rubber chicken, silhoutted running figure, etc. added to the story's visual punch and helped connect the live action gags.
