Hmmm, I love Beck, but I love Cohen's distinct style too, and this just doesn't do it justice.

the first verse was great but the last two verses were like "ouch"....but maybe that was what you were going for? i dont know.....i love beck and anything he touches, but i agree with daria when it comes to Suzanne....it's a classic.

HELL YESSSSSSSS!

A get in the studio, kick it, bad-ass interpretation. A very dangerous feel to it - I like it; indeed I do. I think Mr. Cohen would approve as well.

I was lucky enough to be at the "Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival" - April 17 this year. My first experience of LIVE COHEN! Was sweet! Yeah, I think Mr. Cohen would approve.

You know, I like this version a lot, but don't call it "better." They're not comparable -- completely different genres! This version is cool, but mostly because it's riffing on genius. It's good music, but ephemeral, a nice jam session, not much more than that.

If Cohen's Suzanne didn't exist, and this "version" was the original, would it become a beloved classic? Or would it sink into the same fractured indie oblivion that claims most music?

I'm a fan of Leonard's, if you haven't guessed. ;) Must defend the faith!
