Symbolic play is the ability of children to use objects, actions or ideas to represent other objects, actions, or ideas as play. A child may push a block around the floor as a car or put it to his ear as a cell phone and for adults day dreaming is considered as a form of symbolic play.
This film is depicting a dystopian society where people are forced to day dream in the adult playrooms, designed for working adults ranging from 21 years to 65 years of age, to increase their productivity, intelligence and creativity.
