On August 29, 2009 we held our Third Annual Elmhurst BMX Jam. This year we did things a little different. One our best friends, Ricardo Lopez, committed suicide on November 27, 2008, his 20th birthday. We got in touch of The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention; over $1000.00 was raise and donated to prevent an act so tragic. We held a BBQ and Raffle, and took other donations, and raised the money that way. It was an amazing turnout. So many of Ricardo's friends, family, and people who felt our pain that wanted to help support. Thank you everyone!

    I used to skate at this park all the time back in the day. You guys did a really cool thing for your friend and for suicide prevention. Big ups for using a Chicago song too.
