great audio. what did you do for dialogue? boom? wireless lavs? overdub?
  •
  • yorigos12 5 months ago
Thanks. In most scenes we used a boom and a lav. It was quite windy, and some lines were injured, so I cut and pasted lines from other takes (CU's) to make it sound clean. No ADR used.

Mainly, Dave Taylor (audio) saved the day.

Excellent, I'd love to be at this level of short film perfection one day. Terrific dialog and wonderful character development in such a short time frame. Funny and sweet. I give this a 10/10.

what adapter? (I am just purchasing the HVX with Letus)
  • yorigos12 5 months ago
No adapter. Just stock HVX. I have worked w/adapters before, and the Letus is probably the best. Nice purchase.

Wow. Nice job. I really enjoyed this.

Very great balance between humor and seriousness! Especially the end with his other "friend" 'shopped into the photo.

    Brilliant.

Very excellent work. I have a film company. mivafilm.com I had purchased a hvx when I had watch your film. BUt I cant use hvx very good. Bad colors. etc. Please tell me your camera and color setting. Did you use color correction
  • yorigos12 2 months ago
In camera, nothing fancy- I think we shot with the Cinelike V setting (gives a gold-ish tint). Shooting as flat as possible is best with HD...then color correcting. But to be honest, I did minimal color correction.

Sorry for the late answer... I LOVE your film. It's a great piece of life, it's well done, touching, funny. Congratulations.

Really fun, heartwarming film. Production values are off the charts--your colors are warm and vibrant, acting is on-point, and I was especially impressed with your fantastic sound recording (something I've always struggled with myself).
