"George Shaw: I woz ere" is a documentary film following artist George Shaw as he
prepares for his first home-coming exhibition at the
Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, Coventry.
Through a series of conversations we learn about George's life growing up on Coventry's
Tile Hill estate (the subject of his art), his techniques, influences
and musings on being a Turner-prize nominated British artist.
Featuring film and television clips from The Likely Lads and Tony Hancock (among others)
and a contemporary soundtrack from bands & artists from the Coventry area.
