Hamlet is a brooding Dane, as the title character of Shakespeare's play. His brooding nature has to do with the place he finds himself in life. His life sucks and he is thinking about offing himself. But not knowing what death is like keeps him from entering into the realm of death by his own hand.
Some of the folks in the Corinthian church were having a brain cramp about the reality of resurrection; not just Jesus' resurrection but resurrection in general. It kind of put them in the same place as Hamlet, only thousands of years earlier.
As we look at the reality of the resurrection, Jesus' and ours, let us look for the possible disconnects in our lives that might make us more like Hamlet or more like some of the Corinthians; and less like Jesus.
