In 2012, while in Northern California, I was invited to witness and document a water blessing ceremony as a restorative practice with more-than-human world of nature and spirit. It was a beautiful ceremony where we offered our gratitude to a spring in a beautiful redwood forest and acknowledged our sadness for the damage that's been done by humans to this ecosystem. We prayed, we sang, we listened.

The ceremony was called and facilitated by Amos Clifford who is a Medicine Walk Guide and a restorative justice practitioner. His personal inquiry is how we can apply the principles of Restorative Justice between humans and more-than-human world.
