I spent a fortnight toying around with my EOS 450D and the EOS utility software bundled with it. I had to tether my camera to my laptop meaning I couldn't always get the shots I wanted to but it was a good tool for me as a time-lapse newb. The frame rate varies and I never managed to get the sunset I wanted or a a lapse around Polaris but now I know what I need to plan for the next one when I will give tilt shift a go too.
